Benefits of Membership

• Ability to enroll in cost efficient but highly CPE right in Amarillo. The Chapter offers approximately 56 hours of TSBPA Sponsored CPE each year.
• Take advantage of low yearly member fees at the Panhandle Chapter which are currently just $28.00 per person.
• May use CPE Conferences for networking opportunities as well as opportune times to enhance knowledge and learn of most recent developments in the CPA’s world.
• Will automatically support a superb scholarship program for area accounting students by becoming a member of the Panhandle Chapter.
• A promise to have the support of a professional office to gain information and knowledge regarding the local Chapter and its activities

Travel Reimbursement Policy
Approved – June 21, 2005 at Board Meeting
Expenses incurred in attending meetings as representatives for the Chapter that will be reimbursed include:
• Airfare at the 21 days-in-advance price (or mileage up to the applicable airfare) • Transportation between airport and hotel or meeting site • Transportation between hotel and meeting site (if lodging is unavailable at meeting site) • Hotel (when necessary) reimbursed at the daily rate of the conference sight with a two night maximum. • Meeting registration fees • Meals up to $25.00 per day
All reimbursements shall only be made after receipt of a written request and supporting documentation. Requests should be made no later than 60 days after the meeting event.
Travel expenses will be set during the budget process and any expenditures above the budgeted amount will be subject to approval by the Board of Directors before the expenses are incurred.
The June through May budget year should include the approximate cost of the following meetings:
President, President-Elect and Executive Director Annual Meeting Mid-Year Meeting Coordinating Council Meetings Leadership Meetings Additional Meetings which may require attendance.
Immediate Past-President Annual Meeting
State Directors Annual Meeting Mid-Year Meeting State Committee Representatives Any required committee meetings
Any out of state travel should be approved by the Board of Directors before expenses are incurred, either through the annual budget process or as an agenda item at one of the regular Board meetings.
